I could have answer this question in the group itself, but I thought it can be very helpful for other so many my fellows who wants to learn Hindi. So, I decided to share such threads and questions through this blog.

Before going to solution, let me tell you few things. There are 17 sentences , where we have changed the subject from singular to plural, feminine to masculine and the effects you can see in the verb at the ending of the sentence. Please take a look carefully and try to see the logic behind it. I am pretty sure you will learn to use Karna  करना (t0 do) verb in Hindi.

1. I do home work.(F – Feminine)
Main Grihkarya Karti Hoon.

  मैं गृहकार्य करती हूँ |

The subject is feminine that is why – i ending – Karti(करती)

2. I do home work. (M – Masculine)

Main Grihkarya Karta Hoon.

मैं            गृहकार्य    करता  हूँ |

The subject here is a male, that is why it is Karta करता , if the subject is singular & masculine always use Karta करता.

3. We do home work.

Hum Grihkarya Karte Hain.

हम      गृहकार्य        करते     हैं |

The subject is here plural and masculine , we in Hindi langauge generally represents masculine until and unless specified. If we represents femine plural subject then , we have to use karti (करती).

4. We did home work.

Hum Ne Grihkarya Kiya.
हम    ने      गृहकार्य       किया |

You can see there is addition of NE (ने) after the verb. If the verb is transitive then mostly you have to add “Ne” after subject to make a past indefinite tense (simple past tense ) strucuture in Hindi.

For the tense of the verb, we will discuss on other tutorial.

5. We will do home work.

Hum Grihkarya Karenge.
हम         गृहकार्य        करेंगे |

If you have watched my Hindi learning videos on YouTube on tense , then must have seen, nge, ngi, nga ending (if subject is plural or somebody respecful) or ga, ge & gi ( if subject is friendly person with whom you talk in Tu or Tum level and if plural then again you talk with them in tum or tu level)  makes the sentence future. Here the subjects is we, so ending is with – nge.

6. Boy does home work.

Ladka Grihkarya Karta Hai.
लड़का      गृहकार्य         करता है |

Again, subject is singular and masculine so, it takes – karta ending in present indefinite tense.

7. Girl does home work.

Ladki Grihkarya Karti Hai.
लड़की    गृहकार्य        करती है |

Again, femine and singular subject  takes karti ending in present indefinite tense structure in Hindi.

8. Boy did home work.

Ladka Ne Grihkarya Kiya.
लड़का    ने    गृहकार्य       किया |

As you already know, if the verb is transitive, subject takes NE , you can see that in above sentence. ( its not all the time, mostly, exception, I will teach you later)

9. Girl did home work.

Ladki Ne Grihkarya Kiya.
लड़की ने      गृहकार्य        किया |

10. Boy will do home work.

Ladka Grihkarya Karega.
लड़का       गृहकार्य      करेगा |

As, I told you, subject is person with whom speak talk in tum or tu level, ladka , simply represents , kind of informal subject, that is why GA ending in future indefinite tense like above.

11. Girl will do home work.

Ladki Grihkarya Karegi.
लड़की     गृहकार्य      करेगी |

Again, same, subject is femine that is why Gi ending.

12. Boys do home work.

Ladke Grihkarya Karte Hain.
लड़के      गृहकार्य      करते       हैं.

Plural & masculine subject and sentence is in present indefinite tense, that is why Karte followed by Hain , not Hai ending.

13. Girls do home work.

Ladkiyan Grihkarya Karti Hain.
लड़कियां           गृहकार्य  करती     हैं |

Reason : Plural but feminine that is why Karti and Hain for present indefinite tense.

14. Boys did home work.

Ladko Ne Grihkarya Kiya.
लडको   ने     गृहकार्य     किया |

Boy – Ladka (singular)

Boys – Ladke ( plural) but due to NE addition, ladke became Ladko.

15. Girls did home work.

Ladkiyon Ne Grihkarya Kiya.

लड़कियों ने गृहकार्य  किया |

Girl – Ladki ( singular)

Girls – Ladkiyan ( plural)

16. Boys will do home work.

Ladke Grihkarya Karenge.
लड़के गृहकार्य करेंगे |

Since there is no NE use , therefore simple boys = ladke is used as subject, unlike in past indefinite tense.

17. Girls will do home work.

Ladkiyan Grihkarya Karengi.

लड़कियां गृहकार्य करेंगी |
